It’s Time to Come Clean About Your Skincare Routine! Did You Wash Your Face Last Night?

Is your complicated cleansing and makeup removal process to blame for abandoning your nightly skincare routine? The last thing many women want to do after a long, busy day is take the time to stand at their bathroom sink and wash off makeup and daily grime. However, not having a nightly skincare routine can leave your complexion susceptible to blemishes or irritation according to dermatologists. Fortunately, there’s a solution! Simplify your skincare routine by switching to CeraVe® Foaming Facial Cleanser, ideal for normal to oily skin.
“Forgetting to wash my face can’t be that harmful…right??”
Unfortunately, that may not be true. Forgetting to cleanse can cause skin problems. “Inadequate removal of irritants, allergens and infectious agents can lead to more skin reactivity such as acne, irritation, sensitivity and increased or decreased oiliness,” explains Pennsylvania dermatologist, Richard G. Fried, M.D., Ph.D.
In addition, Dr. Fried says that “over-washing as well as washing with harsh cleansers can lead to disruption in the skin barrier.” CeraVe® Foaming Facial Cleanser removes makeup from your skin without disrupting the skin’s natural protective barrier, making it your complexion’s new best friend! With foaming lather, it gently removes dirt and oil from your face, leaving it clean but not stripped. CeraVe® Foaming Facial Cleanser also contains ceramides and hyaluronic acid; two key ingredients that help lock in moisture, so your skin won’t feel tight or dry. It’s even suitable for use with acne medications, as it won’t contribute to the dryness these medications can sometimes cause.
“Unwashed or over washed skin can interfere with the effectiveness of moisturizers or medicinal skincare products. Oil and debris left on the skin can interfere with absorption of therapeutic products, such as retinol, retinoic acid, ceramides, liposomes, etc. Washing with an effective but gentle product such as CeraVe® Foaming Facial Cleanser can provide a good balance. The cleanser provides good general cleansing, removes make-up and oil while simultaneously being gentle enough to maintain a very essential skin barrier,” remarked Dr. Fried.
Use CeraVe® Foaming Facial Cleanser twice daily to help keep your skin barrier hydrated and well balanced, while eliminating shiny, oily areas along the T-zone, because when all is said and done, there is no good excuse for climbing into bed without washing your face!

Hello, just wanted you to know how much I like Cerave. It’s the first cream I’ve used that really help’s my skin. I use it all over and my skin stay’s moisturized all day. Thank you for making this product.
I started getting a terribly itchy rash on my legs about a year ago and began illiminating products with certain ingredients and looking ingredients up on line to study about them. It seemed that products with phenoxyethenol caused the ithyness to flare up and the rash would soon follow if I didn’t stop using that product. I found CreaVe lotion in the drugstore and gave it a try. I love it! I recently stared using the cleanser and have noticed such a smoothness and softness to my face. I read in a review from another website that these products are not for anti-aging. I have to disagree! My face shows the difference even only after a short time! I bought the cream today. I wanted a little more hydration for my legs. But after I got it home, i noticed it has phenoxyethenol in it. So naturally I was disapointed!
Is there a way to take that ingredient out of the cream?? Thank you so much for your products!!
I’m 61 yrs old and have almost never washed my face at night! My skin looks pretty darn good for my age and I feel it’s because I moisturize and UV protect my skin during the day. I wear visors and hats and long sleeves when I’m riding my horse or gardening. I also do not use chemical sunscreens! These nasty ingredients have long been suspected to be cancer promoting. I only us zinc or titanium oxide.
