When Your Skin Hits a Bumpy Patch, Change Direction with NEW CeraVe® SA Renewing Lotion!

When Your Skin Hits a Bumpy Patch, Change Direction with NEW CeraVe® SA Renewing Lotion!

It’s not unusual for your skin to hit the occasional rough patch. Daily use of a moisturizer is usually enough to restore your skin’s smoothness. But, when uneven texture and bumpiness persists, it might be time to try a new approach. Introducing NEW CeraVe® SA Renewing Lotion!

CeraVe® SA Renewing Lotion exfoliates, smoothes and softens extremely dry, rough, bumpy skin—like those “please don’t touch” rough patches on your upper arms and legs, typically referred to as “chicken skin.”

What’s In It?
Developed with dermatologists, CeraVe® SA Renewing Lotion includes ceramides to help restore, repair and maintain the skin barrier. But, this new product goes the distance with the addition of salicylic acid and ammonium lactate to help loosen and exfoliate dead skin cells. This allows moisturizing ingredients to penetrate the deeper layers of the skin and be more effective. Antioxidant, Vitamin D, is also included to help keep skin looking smooth and touchable.

MVE® Technology Makes it Work
CeraVe’s patented Multivescular Emulsion (MVE®) technology delivers moisturizing ingredients deep into skin layers over time where they can help repair and renew extremely dry, rough, bumpy skin by keeping it nourished and hydrated throughout the day.

In classic CeraVe fashion, CeraVe® SA Renewing Lotion is non-comedogenic and non-irritating¹, so you can put away all the harsh scrubs and sponges you’ve been using to try to restore a natural, even texture. Your skin, after all, is part of your “look” and you shouldn’t have to hide it under layers of clothing in the hope that no one will notice or actually touch your “chicken-skin.”

CeraVe® SA Renewing Lotion works with the entire line of CeraVe® products to give you silky, smooth skin that not only looks great, but feels great too!

  1. I love your products. I have had issues over the last couple of years with Keritosis Poralosis on my arms. I think this is very similar to what I have been using but cost an pretty penny and doesn’t work that well. Can you tell me when this will be available in the stores?

  2. My dermatogist suggested to get my son who has ezema to use you new product the Cera ve SA but I can no find it anywhere.
Is there a way to order it or do you know where you supply this new product.

    Dunwoody, GA 30338

  3. Was wondering the concentrations of the Sal acid and the Ammonium lactate. We use a lot of these two products individually in practice. But hope that this can replace the old Kerasal 5% and Ammonium Lactate 12% that we have been using.

    • The mild exfoliating and humectant properties of Ammonium Lactate (3.5%) plus the 3% Salicylic Acid in CeraVe® SA Renewing Lotion combined with Vitamin D3, glycerin, ceramides and hyaluronic acid, with continued use, provide this CeraVe® product with the ability to gently remove dry, scaly skin and uncover the underlying, smooth and newly moisturized, healthy skin.

  4. I have just started your products Friday 3/9/12.. for my face and body..can’t wait for the amazing results..still have faking skin..How long does it usually take to really make a difference? I do know 3 days isn’t long enough, just wondering..Thank you.

  5. What is the pH of this product? I understand it is too high for the salicylic acid to function effectively?

Also am curious as to why none of your products contain anti-oxidants, and whether I can add my own as a mix-in.

    • CeraVe SA was developed with a specific PH that minimizes irritation of the skin and maximizes the aesthetics of the moisturizing formula.

  6. Is CeraVe for Kaeratosis Pilaris? I’ve been using Glytone Retexturize Body Lotion and it works great but it’s more than twice the price of the CeraVe Renewing lotion so if the CeraVe Renewing Lotion can be used for Keratosis Pilaris, I would be overjoyed.

    Thanks.

  7. Salicylic acid is truly the only effective exfoliant for Keritosis Pilaris, which I have almost over my entire body. Please do not ever discontinue this product. It is long overdue. I was so desperate for a product like this that I even considered creating my own. There are very few salicylic lotions on the market and they are extrodinarily expensive. I am so happy that I have this lotion as an option now. Thank you, thank you, thank you for creating this product!

  8. I forgot to mention in my last post: According to The Cosmetics Cop, (Paula Begoun) A lotion with Salicylic Acid needs to be a PH between 3-4 to be most effective. Your SA lotion tested at 4.5. Please tell the formulators to try and reduce the PH. Thanks.

    • CeraVe SA was developed with a specific PH in mind that minimizes irritation of the skin and maximizes the aesthetics of the moisturizing formula.

    • We are waiting on our Store Locator to be updated. In the meantime, CeraVe SA Renewing Lotion is available at several online retailers such as drugstore.com.

  9. I still cannot find the CeraVe SA Renewing Lotion in any of the retail stores. Will it be available soon?
